Traffic crashes are down in Hillsboro, but the number of serious injuries and fatalities related to traffic crashes have increased.

- 15% of all fatal/serious injuries are a result of impaired driving
- Ages 25–44 have the highest rate of crashes and fatality or serious injury
- Pedestrian and bicycle crashes are most likely to result in fatality or serious injury
- 61% of crashes are at intersections
