Get a membership or Play Pass to access the Gymtastic Play Zone and Sensory Play programs. A membership or Play Pass is required for all participating children, including youth under the age of 2 years. Supervising adults are free. 

Play at these drop-in programs is self-led and adult supervision is required. At least one adult/guardian must remain present at all times.

Hop, skip, jump, balance and spin in Hidden Creek’s Gymtastic Play Zone, designed to engage your child’s physical creativity and body awareness through movement based free play. Gymtastic Play Zone is a drop-in program and equipment is shared with other patrons. There are different areas of age-appropriate play equipment for children.

Summer Schedule:

• Ages Infant to 6 years:
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 8 am to 11 am
  • Sundays, 1 to 3:30 pm

Fall Hours starting in September:

• Ages Infant to 6 years:
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 8 am to 12 pm
  • Sundays, 1 to 1:30 pm

Gymtastic Play Zone is included with Family Membership or purchase a Play Pass.

Come enjoy sensory play! With active & calming toys, lights, games, and fidgets available, take the chance to engage all of your senses. There are options to practice movement, physical activity, and make friends with this great play opportunity for kids of all abilities.

Ohana Teen Nights at Hidden Creek Community Center

Program Information

Ohana Teen Night is designed to give teens a safe place to go on Friday nights to connect, engage, and have fun! Rotating activities include basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, kickball, badminton, and pickleball. Hidden Creek’s lounge area features an assortment of board games, ping pong, and foosball. Participants can also enjoy arts & crafts, slime making, video games, trivia nights, culinary experiences, and more! 

• Grades: 7 to 12
• 2024-25 Dates: September 6, 2024 through May 16, 2025; Fridays 6 to 9 pm
• No Program: The Ohana Teen Program does not run on Hillsboro School District No School Days & holiday weekends. October 11;  November 1, 8, 29; December 27; January 3, 17, 31; February 14; March 28; April 11. 
• Annual Fee: $10 Residents, $15 Non-Residents (Fee waivers available – contact Hidden Creek for information)

Registration

There is a one-time annual registration fee for Ohana Teen Nights per school year.

Fee waivers are available – contact Hidden Creek for more information. At registration, participants can opt to "pay it forward" to cover the cost of participation for another student and continue to help make this program a safe and welcoming place for all.

New registrants should arrive early to Ohana Teen Night if they are registering and paying at the door. Once registered, participant names will be added to a roster, and they can check-in from the list the following week.

Check In/Out Procedures

Doors are open from 6 to 7 pm for check in. After 7 pm, the entrance will be locked and front doors are not monitored for late participants. All participants must check in and check out with a staff person. Participants do not need to have an adult check them in or out of the program. They may leave on their own – many participants walk home. Leaving the facility without checking out with a staff person will result in a phone call to parent/guardians and potential disciplinary action.

Ohana Teen Leader Volunteer Position

The Ohana Teen Night Program is seeking outstanding students to join our team as a Teen Leader!

This position is open to teens 15 years or older. Teen Leaders will be responsible for welcoming new participants, giving program tours, sharing program expectations, ensuring people feel welcome, and generally acting as program ambassadors.

Being a Teen Leader comes with some perks including a free Ohana Teen Program t-shirt, volunteer experience that can apply towards many different school programs, scholarships and applications, and letters of recommendation from staff. Teen Leaders get to participate in special projects throughout the year and are an integral part of shaping the future of the Ohana Teen Night program. After completing a full year of service, Teen Leaders are eligible to apply for the Ohana Youth Program Summer Internship position. After graduating from high school, Ohana Teen Leaders are eligible to apply as program staff!

Hidden Creek Teen Code of Conduct

The teen programs at Hidden Creek aim to create a safe and welcoming environment, inclusive of all. As such, participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to other participants, staff and facility. With this goal in mind, rules of conduct have been established for all participants in the Teen Programs.

Hillsboro Parks and Recreation reserves the right to take immediate disciplinary action, including removal and expulsion from the Hidden Creek Teen Programs and/or Hidden Creek Facility for violation(s) of the Code of Conduct. Please be aware that some Code of Conduct violations may also be subject to criminal prosecution in addition to any sanctions administered by Hillsboro Parks and Recreation.

Pickleball Lessons & League

Participants can sign up for pickleball lessons to learn the skills to master to get to the next level! Never played pickleball before, but interested? Sign up for an Introduction to Pickleball Class to learn the basic skills of play, how to keep score, how to "dink" and why to "stay out of the kitchen.” A great way to get exercise and create community with others. Up for a little competition? Get your exercise in a fun and social pickleball doubles league!

Hidden Creek Community Center is open for parties full of active play! All party packages are three hours in length and include Party Room, activity time in gymnasium or Kids Club, Facility Supervisor, use of equipment, tables, and chairs. Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance online, over the phone, or in person at Hidden Creek.

Maximum of 40 participants permitted in gymnasium. This package is for all youth.  

Let’s get moving! Have fun while developing cognitive, physical, and social skills through the power of play! Choose from Hidden Creek’s array of sports equipment and let kids run off their energy in our gymnasium. Tee ball participants should bring their own gloves. Play is self-led and adult supervision is required. Instruction is not provided.
