Domestic Violence Response Team

Hillsboro community members have access to 24-hour on-scene crisis intervention and ongoing support for situations involving domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, and stalking.

Our Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) volunteer advocates are specially trained to work closely with police officers, the District Attorney’s Office, and local victim resource partners.

Get Help with Domestic Violence

You deserve to be safe in your home. You deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

Domestic violence can happen to anyone. It does not discriminate. You’re not alone, and it’s not your fault.

Please do not hesitate to call local resources for help. It could be the most important call you make for you and your family.

Please note: You are not required to file a police report in order to speak to a DVRT victim advocate. DVRT advocates working at Hillsboro Police Department are not law enforcement officers.

Sexual Assault Response

Call 911 if you are in danger or to report a sexual assault to the Hillsboro Police Department.

The Hillsboro Police Department recognizes how sensitive and difficult reporting a sexual assault may be. Our officers and detectives are trained to use a trauma-informed approach.

A victim has the right to disclose as much or as little as they are comfortable with and may start and stop the interview at any time.

About the Domestic Violence Response Team

The ultimate goal of the DVRT is to reduce repeat domestic abuse incidents within the same household.
