Affordable Housing in Hillsboro

As Hillsboro continues to grow, the City helps to ensure that a balanced mix of housing types and opportunities continue to be available to community members at different income levels. The City Council has prioritized supporting the development of income-restricted, regulated housing affordable to households earning less than the Area Median Income (AMI).

Addressing Affordable Housing and Homelessness is an ongoing City Council priority. While cities in Oregon do not typically construct, own, or operate affordable housing, Hillsboro supports its development through the policies, projects, and programs described here.
