Proposed Clean Water Services Rates: Learn More & Participate
A portion of the sanitary sewer and surface water management rates on your City of Hillsboro utility bill are set by Clean Water Services (CWS).
For fiscal year 2022-23, CWS is proposing an adjustment to its monthly rates to invest in aging infrastructure, ensure the long-term health of local rivers and streams, and meet stricter federal and state pollution control rules:
For the average household:
- Sanitary Sewer fixed and average use charges are proposed to increase 4%.
- Surface Water Management fixed and average use charges are proposed to increase 4%.
If approved, adjusted CWS rates would take effect July 1, 2022.
