An immersive multimedia work blending original folk songs, storytelling, and projected archival images, No-No Boy illuminates hidden American histories and the untold stories of Asian Americans, refugees, and immigrants to the U.S. Taking inspiration from his own family’s history living through the Vietnam War, as well as many other stories of Asian American experience, Nashville born songwriter Julian Saporiti transformed years of research and doctoral study into this innovative project to engage diverse audiences with difficult conversations.
