Each month October through May the Hillsboro Police Department in partnership with the Westside Crime Prevention Coalition hosts training forums for landlords and property owners on topics varying from basic tenant laws and contracts, to special topics on current mandates and habitability issues.
The goal is to provide residential rental property owners and managers an opportunity to learn how they may better recognize and address possible criminal activity on their property as well as obtain better understanding of police perspective when it comes to maintaining a safe property.
These 90 minute webinars are held via Zoom on the Second Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8 pm. Course attendance is free! Sessions are conducted by attorneys from Warren Allen, LCC who specialize in landlord-tenant law and hosted by representatives from Hillsboro, Beaverton and Forest Grove Police Departments and the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
