Help celebrate the completion of two Washington County transportation projects in Hillsboro with a ribbon-cutting event at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21.
The event takes place on the new Cornelius Pass Road extension at Butternut Creek Parkway in South Hillsboro. Travel to Butternut Creek Drive via 209th Avenue. Street parking will be available on Butternut Creek Parkway. Cornelius Pass Road remains closed south of Kinnaman Road. Please do not move or drive around road barricades.
County and city leaders will give a short presentation followed by a ribbon-cutting and an opportunity to walk across the new bridge and over a segment of walking trails.
Construction of both projects is nearly complete. Though 209th Avenue has reopened, there will be additional work through September. Cornelius Pass Road, including the bridge, is expected to be complete in the coming weeks.
