Image of several artworks in the Multinodal Meanderings exhibitAn exhibit organized with the Oregon Chinese Artist Association, Multinodal Meanderings demonstrates the life experiences of each individual artist along with the weaving threads of connections in their shared cultural backgrounds.

Through a combination of conventional art mediums, traditional Chinese art forms, and contemporary ideas, each piece celebrates the vibrant diversity within our local community.

The Oregon Chinese Artist Association (OCAA) was formed in 2007 by a group of Chinese artists with a mission to encourage creativity and innovation within their membership. OCAA supports artists by connecting them with galleries and organizing group shows, with the goal of sharing Chinese culture and artistry with everyone by showcasing unique traditional Chinese art forms such as calligraphy, puppet making, dancing, and drumming, as well as more common mediums such as oil painting, watercolor, and printmaking.

OCAA member and artist Wen Wang describes Multinodal Meanderings: “Each participating artist has their own background and experience, but all gathering in North America. Our works of art are like multiple nodes on an invisible and long rope, different but also somewhat similar. We each have desires and expressions for the world, wandering between multiple nodes.”

The exhibit is free and open Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm and on Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm.
