The City of Hillsboro Water Department is responsible for safeguarding the public water system from pollution and contamination. Through operation of the state-mandated Backflow Prevention & Cross Connection Control Program, the Hillsboro Water Department helps protect your drinking water by:
- Assisting customers with compliance of backflow prevention practices and regulations.
- Identifying, eliminating, or protecting cross connections.
The City of Hillsboro Water Department is currently implementing a secure, web-based solution by EcosConnect LLC to assist in managing backflow test report data entry and submission.
Beginning January 1, 2018, approved certified backflow assembly testers (testers) will be required to submit all backflow assembly test reports through the EcosConnect web application in order to be accepted and recorded. After that time, paper or e-mailed test reports will be no longer be accepted and returned to testers for submittal through the web application.
A voluntary training drop-in session for certified testers on the online backflow test report application is being offered 10 am to 2 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 in the Hillsboro Civic Center Room Third Floor Conference Room C334 (150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, OR 97123).
