City of Hillsboro Public Works, Water, and Parks & Recreation Department employees work around the clock all year to maintain our streets, utilities, and other essential infrastructure and services.
Now, it’s your turn to get a first-hand view of the heavy-duty equipment that keeps the City running.
The City of Hillsboro’s 7th annual Public Works Day from 8 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 19, on the Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza will feature traffic signal, LED streetlights, and meter displays, and City of Hillsboro employees from Public Works, Water, and Parks & Recreation departments will explain how they use the equipment to keep the City moving throughout the year.
Adults and children can climb up into the seat of a front end loader, hydro excavator, sanitary sewer and stormwater inspection van, meter truck, leak detection truck, ventrac mower, and tractor. We look forward to seeing you there!
