Lunch with the Birds

Join Jackson Bottom Staff and Volunteers for Lunch with the Birds! Wednesdays, September through December, 12 — 1 pm. Location is a different City of Hillsboro Park or natural area each month. For bird watchers of all levels and ages.

Learn identification tips and natural history facts about our local wildlife. Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them, we have them if you don’t! We meet rain or shine! Some parks have shelter but be prepared for the weather. Free. No pre-registration required.

Location: Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, 2600 SW Hillsboro Highway
Description: Arrival of winter waterfowl and return of the eagles.

Dates: October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Location: Orenco Woods Nature Park, 7100 NE Birch Street
Description: Fields, floodplain, and woods along Rock Creek.

Dates: November 6, 13, 20, 27
Location: Rood Bridge Park, 4000 SE Rood Bridge Road
Description: Forest and wetland birds.
