To address vaccine concerns and better educate community members, Hillsboro’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is hosting a virtual Town Hall event on Friday, May 14, from 6 to 7 pm. Join us to get up-to-date information on the COVID-19 vaccine and how to schedule your appointment. After months of research and planning, YAC students are excited to present this informational community event to families and individuals of all ages across the state. Working together, we can help the community recover and thrive again.

Meet the Town Hall Speakers
- Dr Richard Adams Kellis: OHSU Healthcare provider Dr. Kellis will speak on vaccine development, options, safety, its importance to all populations, and the benefit to communities.
- Nafisa Fai: Washington County Commissioner Fai will provide information on the public health care system and equitable access to the vaccine.
- Tina Edlund: Governor Kate Brown’s Special Advisor for COVID-19 Vaccines will explain the state government’s vital role in coordinating the statewide vaccine rollout.
- Dave Baden: Oregon Health Authority’s Chief Financial Officer will address the organization and distribution process of the COVID-19 vaccine in Oregon.
