Sabroso features some of Portland’s most well known and talented musicians. The band’s rhythmic foundation is brought to you by Pablo Ojeda on bass/vocals (Rubberneck, Toque Libre, Geoff Byrd), Ward “The Warden” Griffiths (Fred Strickley, King Beta, The Quadraphones, The Gravy) on drums/percussion, and Carl “Hands of fire” Smith (Crazy eights, Rubberneck, Toque Libre) on percussion. The horn section showcases the incredible talents of Paul Mazzio (Gino Vannelli, Tom Grant, Nu Shooz) on trumpet and John Nastos on saxophone. Adding to the depth of talent is the hook laden piano styling of Dave a.k.a. “Sprinkles” Fleschner (Curtis Salgado, Earl Thomas, John Nemeth, Mel Brown, B.B. King) on piano. Last but not least, is Ricardo Ojeda on guitar/vocals.
