Pix in the Park is Hillsboro’s free outdoor movie series with films each Friday night in August.
Bring a blanket or low-backed chair and stretch out in front of the big screen! Food vendors will be available, or bring your own snacks. Movies will be closed captioned in English. Seating opens at 8pm, and movies begin at dusk (between 8:30-9pm). All movies will be held at Shute Park.
Movies this year include Trolls World Tour on August 6th; Onward on August 13th; Raya and the Last Dragon on August 20th; and The Goonies on August 27th.
Friday, August 13: Onward
In Disney and Pixar’s Onward, two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot (Tom Holland and Chris Pratt), get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad and embark on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley’s epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles, and unimaginable discoveries. But when the boys’ fearless mom Laurel (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) realizes that her sons are missing, she teams up with a part-lion, part-bat, part-scorpion, former warrior – aka The Manticore (Octavia Spencer) – and heads off to find them.
