Pix in the Park is Hillsboro’s free outdoor movie series with films each Friday night in August. 

Bring a blanket or low-backed chair and stretch out in front of the big screen! Food vendors will be available, or bring your own snacks. Movies will be closed captioned in English. Seating opens at 8pm, and movies begin at dusk (between 8:30-9pm). All movies will be held at Shute Park. 

Movies this year include Trolls World Tour on August 6^th; Onward on August 13^th; Raya and the Last Dragon on August 20^th; and The Goonies on August 27^th.

Friday, August 27: The Goonies

The Goonies is a 1985 adventure comedy. In it, a band of kids who live in the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, attempt to save their homes from foreclosure and, in doing so, they discover an old treasure map that takes them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed Willy, a legendary 17th-century pirate. During the adventure, they are chased by a family of criminals who want the treasure for themselves. In 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
