To promote safer roads and provide relief to Hillsboro community members, the Hillsboro Police Department is proud to announce the launch of the groundbreaking Fix-A-Fine program.

Designed to address vehicle safety issues without imposing a significant financial burden, this initiative is set to revolutionize the way we approach road safety and vehicle maintenance.

What Is Fix-A-Fine and How Does It Work?

Fix-A-Fine is a community-oriented program aimed at assisting individuals in rectifying vehicle defects while keeping costs in check.

If you've been handed a Fix-A-Fine voucher, consider yourself on the path to resolving your vehicle's safety issues. 

Here's how it works:

1. When an officer identifies a vehicle defect(s), they have the option to issue a voucher, with or without a citation, to the vehicle owner.
   
   
2. These vouchers can then be redeemed at any of the participating local stores, each of which offers a unique discount ranging from 10% to 20%. The redeemable items are limited to those specifically listed on the voucher, typically numbering between one to three.
   
   
3. For those who receive a citation along with their voucher, presenting evidence of the repaired issue to the Hillsboro Municipal Court can result in the possibility of dismissal. Be sure to retain your completed voucher, along with photographs or other evidence of the issue's rectification.

Numerous local retailers have enthusiastically joined hands with us to facilitate the redemption of your Fix-A-Fine voucher. This means you can choose from a variety of stores to find the best deal for your particular vehicle issue.

Please note the following key details:

• Vouchers are available in Spanish and English 
• City of Hillsboro employees and their families are not eligible for this program.
• Only the items specified on your voucher may be eligible for a discount at participating retailers.
• Retailers reserve the right to determine the discount amount and the number of items eligible for a discount.
