Grant Program Description
The Hillsboro Community Impact Grant Program is a competitive grant program designed to provide multi-year funding to a nonprofit organization for a project or program that makes a targeted impact in a priority area of community concern.
Eligible nonprofit organizations may apply for up to $120,000 in grant funds to be distributed over the three year period (maximum $40,000 per year).

2023 to 2026 Priority Area: Housing Stability
Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for Impact Grant funds with proposals for projects or programs to specifically promote Housing Stability within Hillsboro. Preference will be given to projects and programs that emphasize:
- Direct services
- Measurable outcomes
- Financial stability
- Collaboration with community partners
- Other criteria
Examples of projects or programs that address issues related to Housing Stability may include but are not limited to:
- Programs that provide access to home ownership related opportunities, such as housing counseling, down payment assistance/saving programs and land banking initiatives.
- Prevention programming, aimed at keeping persons in housing crisis safely housed
- Programs aimed at re-housing persons currently in housing crisis
