Hillsboro's Tanasbourne/AmberGlen District

The Tanasbourne/AmberGlen District is a designated regional center encompassing approximately 1,200 acres at Hillsboro’s east end. It is a well-established area that includes significant office, retail, and residential development, as well as several hotel properties and a major healthcare facility, Kaiser Permanente.

The Tanasbourne/AmberGlen area has approximately 1.25 million square feet of existing commercial office space, from single-story office parks to six-story office towers. It is home to companies in the medical, high tech, advanced electronics, athletic apparel and software industries, including names like Nike, Columbia Sportswear, and Applied Materials. 

For employees within the District, there are many housing options within walking distance, from single-family detached housing to town homes and apartments. Several retail centers, also within walking distance, offer nationally-branded shopping, dining and entertainment options. For those living outside Tanasbourne/AmberGlen, access is easy via Highway 26.

While the Tanasbourne/AmberGlen area is already well-developed, future plans call for intensification of development near transit corridors and adjacent to employment areas, along with further pedestrian and bicycle improvements.

The vision is for the District to transform into a more cohesive commercial and residential neighborhood that is compact, well-connected, and offers all the amenities for a complete live-work lifestyle.
