Responsibilities:

Managing day-to-day operations of the Fire Prevention Division as fire marshal, including programs for new development, code compliance, fire origin and cause, and community risk reduction.

Coordinating occupational safety and health programs, and operational projects and programs. Covers A, B, or C battalion chief shift vacancies.

Responsibilities:

Managing A-shift: coordinating daily operations of emergency response staff, overseeing response to fire and EMS incidents, ensuring safe working conditions of personnel, and executing the department's mission. Chief Nees also is responsible for supervising the department's personal protective equipment.
