Library Foundation of Hillsboro
Their mission is to foster and reflect community commitment to education and the pursuit of knowledge by providing access and opportunities through advocacy and financial support of the Hillsboro Public Library and to educate, encourage, enrich, and enlighten the population by enhancing collections, technology, services, and facilities of the Hillsboro Public Library.
Established in 1989, the Library Foundation of Hillsboro has sought private support to enhance library resources, services, programs, and facilities. It promotes the Hillsboro Public Library as a unique educational, informational, and recreational focal point for our community.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, separate and independent of City government. The Foundation supplements City funding of operations. A carefully developed and approved investment policy guides the Board’s financial decisions.

Friends of the Hillsboro Public Library
The Friends of the Hillsboro Public Library is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization that exists to benefit the Library. The Friends' chief fundraising activity is selling the books, videos, CDs and other items donated to the Library and/or culled from the library’s collection.
The Friends are accepting donations of books, DVDs, Blu-Ray discs, CDs, and some other items for sale in their online store. All sales benefit Hillsboro Public Library. No appointment is needed for donations of up to two boxes or bags at the Brookwood Library. For larger donations, arrange an appointment by calling the Friends at 503-615-2461.
