Get Your Free Library Card Today

Washington County Library card imageAre you ready to start using the library? Washington County residents can apply for an e-access library card to get immediate access to e-books, downloadable audio books, streaming video, digital magazines and newspapers, and online resources like LinkedIn Learning, the New York Times, and Mango Languages. Learn more about the types of cards we offer.

Visit Brookwood Library or Shute Park Library during our service hours to get a full access card or upgrade your card to full access. Just bring photo identification and proof of your current address — a current state-issued identification card works great. Most Portland metro area residents are eligible for a card free of charge. Non-residents may need to pay a yearly out-of-county fee.

Library staff will verify your information, issue you a wallet and keychain card, and guide you through accessing your library account and our services. You’ll be able to start borrowing physical materials, like books, movies, and games, right away! Ask us for a recommendation
