General Information 

• Kids Club is open to children ages 6 months through 8 years old.
• Since this is a non-licensed childcare facility, a parent/guardian must remain on the premises at all times.
• There is a 2-hour maximum time limit allowed for kids to be in Kids Club.
• Kids Club will allow a maximum of 10 children at one time. A maximum of 4 infants/toddlers under the age of 2 years will be permitted at any time.

Use

• Use of the Kids Club is provided on a first come, first served basis. It is possible that there may not be a space available. We recommend getting to the facility early to ensure you receive a space. 
• If there is not a spot available, you are welcome to wait in the Hidden Creek lobby with your child or participate in other drop-in family activities at the facility until space becomes available. Children cannot be left alone or sit in the cardio/weight room and fitness studios.
• Since this is a non-licensed childcare facility, the maximum time limit for childcare is 2 hours per day. Exceeding the 2-hour limit will result in late fees charged to your account. Repeatedly exceeding the 2-hour time limit may also result in a suspension of use from Kids Club.

Check-in / Check-out

• Only parents and legal guardians are permitted to bring children into the Kids Club.
• The parent/guardian who checks the child in must be the parent/guardian who checks the child out. 

  o Any exception to this rule must be communicated to the Kids Club aide in writing. Prior to leaving the child in Kids Club, you must provide the name of the person who will check the child out. The person checking the child out must provide a picture ID to verify their identity.

• All fees are due upon arrival. The parent/guardian will stop by the front desk to check in their child, pay all fees, or get their punch card punched.
• When arriving to Kids Club, children should be fed, dry, and properly dressed. 
• Upon arrival, the parent/guardian will provide their child’s information card to the Kids Club Aide. They will confirm that the number on the card is the number to the cell phone of the parent/guardian who will be onsite at all times. 
• First-time visitors or those who have not visited for six months will be required to complete a new information card with the front desk prior to dropping children off at Kids Club. Children will not be allowed into Kids Club without an accurate information card. 
• For the safety of all children, we ask that parents/guardians enter Kids Club only when checking in and checking out their child.
• Each parent/guardian dropping a child off at Kids Club is required to have their cell phone (which corresponds to the contact number on the info card) and the buzzer (given by Kids Club staff) with them at all times while at Hidden Creek Community Center. The parent/guardian must also share where they will be located in the building. The following are some of the reasons that staff may call or locate you:
  • If your child has been crying for more than 15 minutes
  • If your child becomes ill
  • If your child is injured in any way
  • If your child fails to follow the rules or is unresponsive to staffs’ efforts
  • If your child bites another child or staff
  • If your child is hitting or has aggressive behavior toward another child or staff
  • If your child needs a diaper change or bathroom care of any kind

Behavior

We recognize that children use behavior to communicate their needs, and there are some instances where parent/guardian intervention may be needed:

• Biting: If your child bites another child or staff member, we will call you and ask that your child be removed from the Kids Club for the day. Repeated incidents may result in a 30-day suspension of childcare privileges in order to allow time for behavior modification.
• Hitting/Aggressive behavior: If your child hits or is aggressive/violent toward another child or staff member, we will call you and ask that your child be removed from Kids Club for the day. Repeated incidents may result in a 30-day suspension of childcare privileges in order to allow time for behavior modification.

Health Guidelines & Medical Information

In consideration of staff, other children, and members, Hidden Creek Community Center reserves the right to refuse entry of sick children into Kids Club. Please do not bring your child if they have the following:

• A fever over 99 degrees in the past 24 hours
• Diarrhea in the past 24 hours
• Vomiting in the past 24 hours
• Pink Eye or Inflammation around the eyelids or pus draining from eyes 
• Croup
• Persistent, frequent coughing not due to allergies
• Sore throat
• Rash or skin infection such as: poison oak, poison ivy, impetigo, ring worm, cold sores, head lice, and communicable diseases (measles, chicken pox, mumps, etc.)
• Runny nose with green colored discharge
• Unexplained lethargy

• Kids Club staff will also follow these health guidelines in assessing their well-being so that they do not infect children or other staff.
• Kids Club staff have the right to refuse entry to any child that displays any of the above symptoms or appears ill. The parent/guardian must accept the judgment of the staff regarding these guidelines.
• Kids Club staff will not give medication to children. Please do not bring medications with you. 
• All Kids Club staff members are certified in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, First Aid, and AED. Should an emergency occur, parent/guardians will be called immediately, and an Accident/Injury Report will be completed.
• No food is allowed in the Kids Club. The only beverage allowed are sippy cups with water. 
• Please label sippy cups with your child’s name.
• Kids Club staff do not change diapers or do any bathroom care. Staff will call you or have a Hidden Creek staff member find you if a diaper change is needed. 
• Kids Club staff will not give scheduled naps or do any potty training. 

Other Information

• Personal items should not be brought into Kids Club. If comfort items (stuffed animal, blanket, etc.) are necessary for use during your child’s visit, please label them clearly.
• Please make sure that all diaper bags, coats, gloves & hats, sippy cups & bottles, and all personal belongings are clearly labeled. All personal items will be kept in a cubby.
• Lost and Found items will be kept for 30-days in accordance with Hidden Creek Community Center policy. After that time, items will be discarded or donated to a local charity.
• Hidden Creek Community Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Kids Club is not accepting reservations at this time. Please call ahead to check availability at 503-693-5900.

Fees are assessed on a per child, per visit basis as follows and due upon arrival at the front desk.
