The Hillsboro Police Department allows community members to submit a free online police report for certain incidents that do not require an in-person response. Your report will generally be reviewed within five to seven business days. After filing a report, you will receive a temporary report number via email and will be able to print a copy of your report for your records. Once your report is approved, you will receive an email with a copy of the final report with your assigned case number.
If your incident type is not listed below or does not meet the requirements, please call non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111 to file a report.

- This is not an emergency
- The incident occurred within the city limits of Hillsboro
- There are no known suspects
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have a valid email address
- Hit & Run (non-injury)
- Lost Property (excluding firearms and narcotics)
- Theft (under $5,000 – excluding firearms and narcotics)
- Identity Theft must be reported in-person to a Police Officer in the same jurisdiction of the reporting party
- Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle
- Theft of Vehicle Parts (examples - catalytic converter or wheels)
- Vandalism or Criminal Mischief (excluding graffiti and/or hate crimes)
- Supplemental reports to existing Online Police Reports
All reports filed within this system will be reviewed by the Hillsboro Police Department. If further investigation is required, you will be contacted for additional information. Filing a false police report is a crime (ORS 162.375).
