Clean Water Services will continue to adopt their respective rates and charges in June, which become effective July 1.

City of Hillsboro Fixed Charge

Clean Water Services will continue to adopt their respective rates and charges in June, which become effective July 1. 

Rate Restructure: To clarify the funding responsibilities of Clean Water Services (CWS) and the City of Hillsboro. 

Sanitary Sewer

a. The Fixed Charge (Operating Fee): Previously set by CWS, this charge will now be separate rates for CWS and the City of Hillsboro. The City will combine the Sanitary Sewer Operating fee and the Local Service Fee into one local rate. 

b. CWS will identify their own operational rate. The two rates will be separate line items on the utility bill.

c. The Average Use Charge: This will remain a single line item split appropriately between CWS and City of Hillsboro. CWS and the City will set their respective portions of the rate.

Surface Water Management 

The Fixed Charge (Operating Fee): Previously set by CWS will be separated into the CWS rate and a City of Hillsboro Rate. The City, will combine the Surface Water Management Operating fee and the Local Service Fee into one local rate.  CWS will identify their own operational rate. The two rates will be separate line items on the utility bill.
