Witness the culmination of Jim Miller’s forty years of art glass practice in the new exhibit, Reflections, on display at the Hillsboro Civic Center Gallery starting Tuesday, September 3. A celebration of self-expression and discovery, Miller’s mosaics and stained glass works dance across the wall with bright colors and whimsical shapes.
Jim Miller moved to Hillsboro in 2018 from Madison, Wisconsin, where he worked for years as an artist and carpenter. Growing up, Miller did not explore art, but later in life he found himself enamored with the process and challenge of working with glass. Miller has since worked with glass as a medium for forty years and has taught others the processes and techniques of stained glass and mosaic. Beauty, wonder, and whimsy stay at the focal point of his process, hoping to bring playful feelings and a giggle from the viewer.
This exhibit ends on Friday, October 18. It is free to visit and open Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
