Now in its third year of celebrating a connection to Oregon Wine Month, May 2024's Hillsboro Art Walk: First Tuesday shines a light on the local winemaking industry, vibrant wine spaces, talented winemakers, and growing “grape scene” in Downtown Hillsboro.
Hillsboro Art Walk: First Tuesday will feature exclusive collaborations
Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 5 to 8 pm.
“Hillsboro Art Walk and Oregon Wine Month create an ideal opportunity for locals and beyond to experience Hillsboro-centric craft wineries they might not otherwise have a chance to visit," says Kathie Nelson, co-founder of Résolu Cellars and organizer of the Hillsboro Art Walk: First Tuesday and May Oregon Wine Month special programming.
"May is the perfect opportunity to welcome people to Hillsboro's Cultural Arts District to celebrate the connections between the vineyards, winemakers, and artists.”
Seven wineries will be placed among 20 art venues to attract new traffic to Art Walk while showcasing the Cultural Arts District. The collaboration will create opportunities for new audiences to discover locally produced wines.

DAnu Wines

DAnu Wines is a boutique winery that celebrates the diversity of the Northwest grape by offering 12 different varietals and blends.
DAnu Wines loves being in Downtown Hillsboro’s Cultural Arts District and appreciates being part of a community that is continually growing, learning, and supporting culinary artistry.
“Supporting our community — and specifically the arts in our community — has always been important to us,” says Maxine Williams, co-owner of DAnu Wines. “By participating in the May Hillsboro Art Walk, in conjunction with Oregon’s Wine Month, we hope to help guests see that wine is a bit of art in its own way, and that each winemaker is an artist influenced by those around them.”
Résolu Cellars
Owners: The Nelson FamilyLocation: 262 SE 4th Avenue
This father-son winemaking duo produces 14 to 16 small-batch wines annually. Along with award-winning Willamette Valley wines, Résolu also make bold red wines in the heart of Pinot Noir country.
Their new location in Downtown Hillsboro provides visitors an opportunity to try their small-batch wines at their wine bar and view wines in production.
With a passion for craft wines and collaboration, Résolu Cellars’ craft wine bar regularly features other wineries that don’t have tasting rooms. In fact, 90% of their fruit is sourced from family-owned vineyards and transported to Hillsboro to process from crush to bottle.
“We understand the value of community and the principle of rising tides that lift,” says Kathie Nelson, Brand Ambassador at Résolu Cellars. “We bring the art of winemaking to Downtown and trust our contribution will be of mutual benefit to showcase local artists, the history of Hillsboro, and attract new traffic to the Downtown core.”
The best part of Hillsboro’s Art Walk for the Nelson family is the collaborative nature of the businesses and artists. “This community has heart,” Nelson says. “We were warmly welcomed, when we opened our craft wine bar, and it’s been easy to reciprocate.”
Skywater Fine Wines
Owners: Neil Thompson & Hans RamosLocation: 384 East Main Street

“There is so much to see and share, people to meet, and joy to be had by being in the middle of such a wonderful scenario,” says Neil Thompson, co-owner of Skywater Fine Wines. “There is always an air of enthusiasm about arts, fine crafts and goods, and more in Downtown Hillsboro.”
Downtown visitors are welcome to peruse the art in the shop, have a glass of wine, and sit and relax in the cozy wine lounge.
