The City of Hillsboro's City Views print newsletter is published every two months to inform residents about:
- Upcoming events
- Engagement opportunities
- News and announcements
- Services, programs, and policies
- Safety information
The newsletter is mailed to all households and businesses in Hillsboro through the post office's carrier route system, similar to how advertisements are delivered. By sending City Views in bulk to all addresses, rather than maintaining a database of individual addresses with continual updates, the City saves tens of thousands of dollars each year in postage and labor costs.
City Views provides information about events in which the City of Hillsboro or City departments are an organizer, sponsor, participant, or partner. Due to limited space, the newsletter cannot publish external event information submitted by community members.
