Hillsboro Public Library offers a variety of spaces designed to be open, accessible, and welcoming to all community members. Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please review the Use of Meeting and Study Room policy for full details.

Included Rooms: Study and Conference Rooms at Brookwood; Hughes Room at Shute Park
Intended For: Individuals or small groups

Brookwood: Study Rooms seat up to 4 people; Conference Rooms seat up to 8 people.
Shute Park: The Hughes Room seats up to 12 people.

Cost: Free
Booking: Reserve up to 60 days in advance. Maximum of two reservations per week, each up to four hours. Walk-ins accepted if rooms are available; reservation still required.
AV: Conference Rooms include videoconferencing equipment with a large screen, computer, and webcam.

Meeting Rooms

Included Rooms: Board, Community, and Multipurpose Rooms at Brookwood; Meeting Room at Shute Park
Booking: Reserve up to 60 days in advance. Maximum of two reservations per month. Check-in with a Library employee is required at the start and end of the reservation. Walk-ins accepted if rooms are available; reservation still required.
Intended For: Larger groups of eight or more people
Cost: Free
AV: The Board and Community Rooms feature a large screen, projector, and sound system. See room booking pages for a full list of each room’s equipment. For rooms with AV, an Assistive Listening Device is available at no cost with 72 hours’ notice.

Event Room at Brookwood

Intended For: Large groups or events of up to 240 people.
Cost: $120 per hour for residents, $150 per hour for non-residents. Additional cleaning and repair fees may apply. See Room Rental Fees for additional details.
Booking: Available from 8 am to 11 pm. Reservations can be made between three days to a year in advance and can be combined with a reservation for the Multipurpose Room at no extra charge. Check-in with a Library employee is required at the start and end of the reservation.
AV: The Event Room includes a large screen, projector, sound system with microphones. An Assistive Listening Device is available at no cost with 72 hours’ notice.
