Hillsboro City Council Adopts Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget
The Hillsboro City Council unanimously adopted the City’s Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget at its meeting on June 16, following months of work and review by Councilors, Budget Committee members, City staff, and community members. The Council’s adoption of the $498 million budget follows the unanimous approval of the Hillsboro Budget Committee.

Washington County and the City of Hillsboro Approve $100 Billion Investment Agreement with Intel
The Washington County Board of Commissioners and the Hillsboro City Council approved an agreement with Intel Corporation allowing up to $100 billion in investment in Oregon. The action by the two local governments was taken after a joint public hearing as part of Oregon's Strategic Investment Program, a private-public partnership that has driven billions of dollars of investment in Oregon over the last two decades.

Hillsboro Budget Honored by Government Finance Officers Association
The City of Hillsboro has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Fiscal Year 2013-14 Budget. This is the third year that Hillsboro has applied for and received a Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation for satisfying nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.
