Getting "TUF" On Our Streets: NE 37th Avenue Project Completion
A project largely funded by the Transportation Utility Fee improved NE 37th Avenue from Main Street to NE Brogden Street. As an important connection between Main Street and the Fairgrounds MAX station, NE 37th Avenue is frequently used by pedestrians and bicyclists to access the MAX station.

Heavy Rain Predicted: Sandbags & Sand Available
The City of Hillsboro is currently providing free sandbags and sand at the tennis courts on NE 28th Avenue. Residents are asked to bring their own shovel to fill the bags.

Report Flooding & Downed Trees in the Street
Predicted heavy rain and winds could result in flooding and downed trees. The City of Hillsboro Public Works Department asks you to call (503) 615-6509 during business hours, or (503) 629-0111 after business hours, to report problems in the street.

Curbside Street Leaf Pick-up Program Underway
The City of Hillsboro's 2014 annual curbside street tree leaf pick-up program is now underway. The City's leaf program helps keep our streets clean and reduces flooding caused by leaves clogging the storm drains. Find out when the leaves will be picked up in your neighborhood.

Youth Invasion 2014 Launches Future Careers
The second annual Hillsboro Youth Invasion gave more than 280 Students from Century, Glencoe, Hillsboro, Liberty, and Miller Education Center high schools, the ability to explore careers in local government and learn how City of Hillsboro employees work to serve the community.

New Bike Racks in Downtown Hillsboro Give Visitors More Options
Bicyclists who enjoy shopping or dining out in Downtown Hillsboro have new options for parking. A total of 30 bike racks reminiscent of the City’s logo are being installed along Main Street between 2nd and 4th Avenues, as well as other locations in the Downtown area.
