About the Park
This 58-acre community park is one of the favorites for the community because of it vast range of recreation opportunities including the Rhododendron Garden, the pavilion, ponds, paved paths that lead the way through the different developed and natural areas of the park and soft-surface paths leading further into wetland and wooded areas around the Tualatin River. Here is where the Rock Creek Regional Trail ends and the Tualatin River Regional Water Trail begins, at the watercraft launch and only public access to the river in the city. The playground, tennis courts and large lawn areas provide a wide range of options for play and relaxation. The park has three beautiful picnic shelters for big events.
Watercraft Launch
There is a watercraft launch for non-motorized watercraft to access the Tualatin River. The boat launch is a car-top launch only for canoes, kayaks, and boats (15' long max.). It typically opens around Memorial Day (last Monday in May) and closes after Labor Day (first Monday in September). Check with Parks Maintenance (503-615-2400) first before you drive there. Late spring rains can cause launch to be closed longer due to debris from flooding. Notice for paddlers -- Metro's Farmington launch, down river from Rood Bridge Park, has been damaged by significant erosion. If you choose to take out at Farmington, please use extreme caution.
For emergencies, dial 911. To report a violation of park rules, please call Police Non-Emergency Dispatch: 503-629-0111.
To report a maintenance issue, email Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Maintenance Division.
