Hillsboro Selects Lee Dobrowolski to be Police Chief
Hillsboro City Manager Michael Brown has selected Lee Dobrowolski to lead the Hillsboro Police Department as Police Chief, accomplishing his goal to have the best Police Chief in place by early 2014. Dobrowolski (pronounced Dah-BROW-skee) will join the City of Hillsboro after 22 years of serving the Salt Lake City Police Department, where he currently is Deputy Chief.

Progress Check: TV Highway Paving Project
By working together to repair and replace underground utilities, such as old water lines, 100-year-old sewer pipes, and under-capacity storm drain lines, the City of Hillsboro and ODOT are saving tax dollars and increasing efficiency.

City Leaders Seek Ideas for Hillsboro 2035 Vision Plan
The City of Hillsboro and the Hillsboro 2035 Task Force encourage community members to submit ideas that will help shape Hillsboro’s future. Past ideas include calls for public art, community gathering places and events, bike and pedestrian improvements, environmental programs, and more. Hillsboro Budget Honored by Government Finance Officers Association
The City of Hillsboro has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Fiscal Year 2013-14 Budget. This is the third year that Hillsboro has applied for and received a Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation for satisfying nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.

Hillsboro Releases 2013-14 Budget in Brief
The City of Hillsboro has released its 2013-14 Budget in Brief to ensure citizens are educated about Hillsboro’s finances. The actual budget document totaling 733 pages is available through the City, but the Budget in Brief offers a 20-page summary of the most essential elements of the budget.

Colin Cooper Promoted to Hillsboro Planning Director
